Holy Week At Home: A Prayer and Liturgy Guide
Holy Week offers us the chance to walk with Jesus through his final days, his death on the cross, and his resurrection from the dead! We've put together this little guide to help you and your household participate in this week, especially if you are unable to attend one of the evening services. We have two versions for you to use or print at home: (1) Booklet format or (2) Standard paper format.
Palm Sunday - April 13 at 9:45AM
Our service will begin with a congregational procession of palms from Dickinson Park at 10AM. Please arrive at the park at 9:45AM so you don't miss this special outdoor processional! Note that children will begin the service with their families, and Cornerstone Kids will begin at the sermon. Why do we celebrate Palm Sunday?
Maundy Thursday - April 17
Blessing of Oil and Water - 5:30PM
We will hold a time of Blessing of Oil and Water at 5:30PM, where we will where we will bless these sacred objects and pray for the Holy Spirit to minister to Cornerstone powerfully throughout Holy Week.
Maundy Thursday Service - 7PM
On Maundy Thursday, we follow Jesus’ example by offering the opportunity for foot washing and celebrating the institution of the Lord’s Supper. The service will be followed by a The service will be followed by a time of silent prayer and reflection (traditionally known as the prayer watch) in the Loft until 10PM. Good Friday - April 18
Sensory Stations of the Cross - 3PM
Join us at 3PM as we touch the thorns, taste the vinegar, and cultivate a deeper sense of love for Jesus given all that He endured for us on his journey to the cross. Good Friday Service - 7PM
Please join us for this special worship service as we solemnly reflect on Jesus’ death on the cross. A time for confession will precede the service at 5:00PM. You can use this link to sign up for a confession slot using this link. Why do we celebrate Good Friday?
The Great Vigil of Easter - April 19 at 6pm
This exciting worship service includes six artistically-rendered readings from the Old Testament, a renewal of our baptismal vows, and the great acclamation that Jesus has risen from the dead. Bring bells and prepare to dance! Please invite your family and friends to this special service! Why do we celebrate The Great Vigil of Easter?
Easter Sunday - April 20 at 10am
Come celebrate Jesus' Resurrection with us, and then stick around for a special Easter potluck celebration (main dish provided) immediately following the service! This celebration will include music, games, and other family- friendly fun. Please invite vour family and friends to join our Easter celebrations!
