40 Days of Prayer – Starting this Week
Leading up to our Halloween Outreach, we invite you to intercede for our church and our city, praying for the renewing love of Christ to transform us. Will you join us for 40 days of prayer beginning on Monday, September 19? You can use this list of prompts to help guide your daily prayers. Anil Cherian will also host a 10-minute prayer time each day at 12:00pm via Zoom.

Moms Together Resumes on September 22!
Moms of Cornerstone and Portage Park, join us for the fall semester of Moms Together beginning September 22! We meet every other Thursday from 9:30am--11:30am at the building. Our vision is to encourage and equip one another in the journey of motherhood and to help our children encounter God and good friends. RESCHEDULED: Celebrating The Landins’ Ministry – Sunday, September 25
Join us immediately after service for a time of desserts and prayer to celebrate August and Phil’s many years of ministry in our church and to pray for the Landin family as Phil transitions into his new job.

This retreat is family-friendly and open to anyone, and it's a great chance to learn more about the vision and mission of the Greenhouse Movement of which our parish is a part. Current Sermon Series: Forward Together
After a summer marked by transitions, it’s good for us to ask: how might God be calling us forward as a church? Throughout the month of September, join us as Fr. Kyle explores God's invitation to each of us to be part of his family--and how our church can live out our calling to be a family of God on mission together to share God's love with our city.
September 4 - A Family of God

Church Office Hours - Beginning Sept. 26
In an effort to be more accessible to the community, our staff team plans to launch standing office hours in our which our staff will be more available to neighbors. We may adjust these time frames in the future depending on interest and staff availability, but we plan to begin as follows:
- Mondays, 9am - 1pm
- Wednesdays, 9am - 1pm
- Thursdays, 9am - 1pm

Upcoming Sermon Series - Faithful to the End: A Study of Paul's Second Letter to Timothy Near the end of his life, Paul wrote one final letter to his beloved ministry co-worker, Timothy. In it, he calls Timothy--and all of us--to steadfast faith in Jesus in all circumstances. Join us throughout October as we consider how Paul's final, heartfelt words to Timothy might encourage us toward greater faithfulness today.

Volunteers Needed: Halloween Outreach - Monday, October 31
Even though the summer isn't over yet, we're excited to begin planning for our annual Halloween Outreach! Halloween falls on a Monday this year, and we are seeking volunteers who will commit to help out between 3 - 7:30pm on October 31 (you do not need to be available for the whole time). General ways to volunteer include setup, running various activities, and clean-up. Please prayerfully consider your availability as we share the love of Jesus with our neighbors!

Saturday Morning Bible Study Explores the Book of Genesis
Don't miss the chance to learn from the Canon Theologian of our Diocese, Fr. Stephen Gauthier, as he guides us through the book of Genesis! You can join the group each Saturday at 10am to learn about this important book of the Bible.
